Learning Reflection Descriptive Text
Hello friends, this time I will discuss about learning reflection descriptive text.
• Descriptive text is a text that explains or describes something.
• Structure Descriptive Text In General :
1. Identification (Introduction / classification) answer the question about What specific Lopic, person, idea, or thing is being described or explained and how is the topic being described or explained.
2. Description (characteristic featurer) answer the question about what features or characteristic are important to remember or understand about the topic being described.
• Language Features of Descriptive Text :
1. Specific participant: it can be something which is not common and usualy unique because it is the only one in the world. An example is something like, Bandengan beach, my house, Borobudur temple, uncle Hans, etc.
2. The use adjectives they can be adjectiver, adjective phrases, or/and adjectiver clauser. An example is something like, a beautiful dress, a handsome man, etc.
3. The use of simple present tense is used in sentences that express activitic or facts that happen in the present. This tense uses only one verb. An example is something like she works in London, I'm seventeen years old, etc.
4. The use of action verbs is to show an action being done by or to a person, place or thing. An example is something like run, walk, jump, eat, etc.
• When creating a descriptive text sentence, there needs to be a structure so that the sentence is easy for readers to understand. The following is an explanation of the sentence structure of descriptive text.
Sentence Structure :
S - V - O + Adverb
S = Subject
V = Verb
O = Object
A = Adverb → 5W + 1H ( What, Where, When, Who, Why, How)
Recommendation For My Teacher
The way of teaching as a teacher is good. However, try not to be too quick in explaining or giving assignments. Because, maybe there are some students, including me, who have difficulty understanding the material and doing assignments in a short time.
